Summer Chic Outdoor Wedding Inspiration | Real Wedding | Macy + Clay

When Macy came out to Twin Oaks Farm before booking us as her venue, I vividly remember our conversation while touring the grounds. She had her date chosen - it was July 14th. I remember saying, "That's the only date you want? Yes, we're still available on that date, but whyyyyy are you picking that date?" {It's a great date, don't get me wrong. But I don't often have couples come in with a hardline date picked out in the middle of July.} I'll never forget what she told me, and I hope it resonates as a testimony to the value that incredible vendors can add to your wedding day.

She said, "Yep! That's the date. Honestly, I know who I want to take my pictures and who I want to do my makeup, and that is the only date remaining that they are both available. So, that's my date!"

And on July 14th Macy and Clay tied the know under the canopy of our historic 175 year old giant Pecan Tree, and she was a stunning bride-- hair and makeup perfect and her pictures are pretty amazing too! I'm just so glad that we could provide the perfect backdrop for her here at Twin Oaks Farm! <3

Fun story - Macy was getting ready at the venue when she realized that she had completely forgotten to plan for a "something borrowed" for her special day. About the same time, her bridesmaid Lauren, who was Macy's little sister in her sorority, came to her and mentioned that she had brought her sorority pin for Macy to have as "something borrowed." Macy was really touched by the gesture and the symbolism for the role that the sorority played in the making of their friendship.
